Retreats
Location: Koroni, Greece
Date: October 13 - 22, 2026
This retreat is for those who crave dedicated, supportive writing time in a divine setting. For nine unforgettable days in Koroni, immerse yourself in writing, nourishing meals, and meaningful connection.
This retreat welcomes writers of all levels, offering inspiring prompts, supportive feedback, and zero pressure.
Situated on the Peloponnesus Peninsula, an hour from Kalamata, this sweet enclave called “The Paradise” offers private accommodation steps from a wide, clean Ionian beach.
Each morning Uta serves an inspired vegetarian breakfast, and after an optional 2-3 hour guided writing session, she serves an equally inspired vegetarian lunch.
Your free time can be spent drifting in the sea, reading on the beach, or at your writing table.
In the evenings, we walk the beach to Koroni to take in the particular charm of this seaside town, and dine overlooking the harbour.
Walking back in the moonlight is a lovely way to end the evening.
One evening, we’ll head out for dinner and traditional bouzouki music in a nearby village.
This isn’t just a writing retreat—it’s an opportunity to reanimate your love of writing and dive deeply into your project among those who “get it.”
Maximum eight participants.

Don’t consider yourself a “writer”?
No worries. If you want to write, like to write, think you can’t write, or have been writing your entire life, the Amherst Writers & Artists method of facilitation invites experimentation in a supportive atmosphere for writers at all levels of confidence and experience.
